About Clinton

Clinton Lesh is a metal sculptor born and raised on a ranch in Ekalaka, Montana, where his early experiences with agriculture, wildlife, and the Western landscape deeply shaped his artistic practice. Growing up riding horses, working cattle, and living in close relationship with the land, Clinton developed a respect for both the raw materials of labor and the natural world they exist within. These formative years continue to inform his work, grounding it in authenticity, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of his roots. After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at Montana State University, Clinton began translating that lived experience into large-scale metal sculpture, using industrial materials to honor the animals, tools, and traditions that define rural life.

Using metal as his primary medium, Clinton transforms practical materials into expressive, large-scale sculptures inspired by nature, wildlife, and imagination. His practice balances realism and refinement with an industrial and timeless aesthetic. With experience fabricating outdoor works up to twenty-five feet tall, Clinton creates durable sculptures designed to engage viewers in public and natural environments and to endure the elements for generations.
